Recently, Warren Buffet was interviewed by CNBC and one of the topics discussed was investing in real estate in these economic times. Warren urges investors to buy up single-family homes, saying “single-family homes are cheap now” and that he “would load up on [single-family homes]”.
Buffet commented that houses are a better investment than stocks over the long term, calling it “a very attractive asset class now”, when asked which asset class would he choose if he was starting to invest now at a young age. This is especially surprising coming from a man that is known to have built his business and fortune in the stock market.
Buffet mentioned leverage as one of the greatest benefits of real estate, saying he would take out a 30-year mortgage to finance single-family homes to take advantage of historic rates.
Even the great mogul agrees that there may never be a better time to invest in real estate, then now.
